A message of Love to all on this discussion board

greenspun.com : LUSENET : A.M.E. Today Discussion : One Thread

As I count my blessings, I count all of youthat read and post of this forum. For each and everyone of you is an important part of God's plan for salvation. I love each and everyone of you dearly! Our ame today family extends around the world. We have cried for one another when there has been death, illness or loss of jobs. We have cheered for one another for every success that one of us has had. We have come to know each other's children, grandchildren and spouses. We are connected by the blood of Christ, and we are the children of Richard Allen. Some of us are in big cities, rural, islands or the bush, but we come together everyday for our virtual family reunion. The board has been hacked, been down for days, and some of us have been personally attacked. Yet we keep coming back to offer encouragement to one another and to hold the banner high for Jesus Christ. I just wanted to say that I love all of you so much for your willingness to stand for Christ! We are family and with the love of God and the strength of Christ we will take the message of Jesus Christ to everyone. Stay strong and know that God loves you so much!

My sister Rev. Higgins God has given me so much during my 51 years on this earth. And one of those gifts has been the ability to love. I had incredible tragedies happen to me in my childhood, including my mother's suicide when I was 7 years old. She jumped into Lake Erie in Cleveland, Ohio. There were many other tragedies. I did not receive love as a child with my father and did not know what it was until Christ came into my heart. It is he who has taught me that love frees us from bondage. The ame church has been so kind, generous and supportive of me. And you and all the others on the board have become my family. For the only family that I have is my daughter. Yet all of you have reached out to me. By Bishop and Episcopal Supervisor have stood by my call to rural ministry. It is through our love of Christ, that the love we give to others freely flow. What a wonderful family we have in the ame church. And I will always tell you and the others how much I love you and that the love that God has for us heals every hurt, pain and loss.

By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. (John 13:35)

I am enjoying the fellowship of my sisters and brothers on this board. I am so amazed at the intelligence, and spiritual insight that comes from many of the members.

Rev. Rogers, you are indeed my new found sister. And you are forever in my prayers.
