Response to the popes address

The Diocese of Wheeling-Charlston, West Virginia suggests the following when sending mail to the Holy Father:

Your letter to the Holy Father should be addressed as follows

His Holiness John Paul II Apostolic Palace 00120 Vatican City State, EUROPE Do not write Italy any where on the envelope.

Unfortunately, I believe the Pope does not have a public email address.

Response to the popes address

"His Holiness John Paul II Apostolic Palace 00120 Vatican City State, EUROPE

Do not write Italy any where on the envelope. If you do, your letter will go through the Italian mail service and, while famous for fashion, great Chianti, beautiful art, and good looking people, their mail system is ... well ... a heck of a lot worse then ours! For this reason, the Vatican, as an independent country, has its own mail service.

Also, make sure to write "air mail" on the envelope so that it is sent by plane and not by boat."

I made the mistake of adding the "Italy" part to my letter to him. I hope it gets there anyway! I am writing to the Pope to ask him to pray for and meet with Dennis Kucinich, a Catholic, who is running for President of the United States as a Democrat. He needs a miracle and a lot of prayers, but if this world is to be protected for the war mongers, Dennis Kucinich is the best one to run. Please pray for him and ask the pope to endorse him. His website is kucinich.us

From the Kucinich website:

"In a Kucinich administration, a woman’s right-to-choose will be protected as essential to personal privacy and gender equality. Only those who agree to uphold Roe v. Wade will be nominated for the Supreme Court. Civil rights (and voting rights) enforcement will be intensified. Lesbians and gays will be afforded complete equality throughout society."

Senator John Kerry, another Catholic Democrat, claims he is "a believing and practicing Catholic, married to another believing and practicing Catholic":

"John Kerry believes that women have the right to control their own bodies, their own lives, and their own destinies. He believes that the Constitution protects their right to choose and to make their own decisions in consultation with their doctor, their conscience, and their God. He will defend this right as President. He recently announced he will support only pro-choice judges to the Supreme Court. Kerry also believes that we should promote family planning and health plans should assure women contraceptive coverage."

We should all pray for these Catholics, that Congressman Kucinich and Sen. Kerry embrace the fullness of the Catholic faith. With such clearly-worded platforms, it is difficult to believe that their "Catholic Faith" is anything more than a faith of convenience, embraced when the positive poll numbers allow, and shunned when the polls don't support Catholic Truth.

God bless,

Mateo
