Who are some of the early childhood intelligence testing creators and where did they evolve their ideas from or what influenced them to create these tests?

You might read the cvhapter on THe Development of Psychological Testing by W. Grant Dahlstrom in Topics in the History of Psychology. Vol. II (edited by Greogry Kimble and Kurt Schlesinger, Lawrence Erlbaum, 1985). The major figures are Alfred Binet and Lewis Terman, about whom you can find articles in most encyclopedias of psychology or textbooks on testing.

A book written in French may give you some answers: MARTIN (Olivier). - La mesure de l'esprit. Origines et développements de la psychométrie. 1900-1950, Paris, L'Harmattan, coll. "Histoire des Sciences Humaines", 1997, 381 p.
