Do the "regulars" to this forum want a new forum to post in peace?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Catholic : One Thread

I'm a busy guy, but I'd be willing to put together a Catholic discussion forum with a format similar to this one if there are enough folks interested.

Things are getting ugly here, so I recommend moving to a secure place. Although privacy will be provided (no display of your email address unless you want to), registration with a valid email will be required (you're only registered once the email address has been verified). If you don't follow the rules we establish for the forum, you're out (you can still view, but not post).

The disadvantage is that it may only have a limited number of participants until it builds up some steam.

Let me know if you're interested by replying here or emailing me privately and I'll let you know when it is available.

God bless!

Hollis, you are proposing something good, but several such forums already exist. It is not necessary for you to start another one. In fact, some people who come here often are already dividing their time between here and at least one other (less public) forum.

I think that this idea would not have occurred to you except for the fact that this forum is under siege right now and appears to be unmoderated for the moment. Hang in there. The tidal waves always recede.

God bless you.

Yes, but I find other forums with each response separated (instead of being able to read all the responses on one page) cumbersome.

I already have a forum on my website, but it's the cumbersome type. If I find the time to create the new one, I'll post the address here for anyone who is interested.

God bless!

Maybe not a bad idea, Hollis, if you have the time for it. It is sad that someone can't even take a weekend off from Moderating without the wolves attacking the sheep! But, be patient and see if we can get this mess cleaned up... Pax Christi.

Hollis,

This happens a few times a year. I think within a day or two everything will be back on track bro. We should just ignore these sad people. Sometimes if you ignore someone you get more accomplished than by saying whats on your mind.

You brought up some great points in the just war thread. Keep up the good work.

God bless you.

Well, Hollis,

You do have a point!

Boy, does our moderator ever have his work cut out for him. May God help him.

Pax Christi.
