I have a question... I think my mother enrolled me years ago... but have not worn one recently. I am searching for a longer stringed scaplur... Are they valid?

Jo Ann, if you are referring to having the string long enough on a Brown Scapular, so it can hang around your neck, that is fine. If the string is not long enough, adding more string to make it longer, would be fine.

Any new Brown scapular you buy, can be blessed with Holy water, if you are already enrolled, or ask a priest to bless it.
