Yes, you read that right. The weather forcast for my area calls for snow with the possible accumulations of 4 inches. But the birds were singing and bugs were coming out. I heard Peepers. And I could swear that the grass was starting to get green again.

We had snow flurries on Friday night but nothing that stuck on the ground. I wanted to paint the front porch and front door this weekend but it's too cold, temps are in the low 40's. Supposed to be back in the 70s by Wednesday, go figure! The grass is getting green here, the forsythia and flowering trees are starting to bloom.

Julie was down here with me for a couple of days. Turned cold this weekend, but up north, it snowed over 6 inches. In fact, she extended her stay here a day to avoid having to drive back. Raining here, snowing there -- means freezing rain/sleet mid-state. Yuck. We didn't get more than a flake or two here and now we're back up to 44*F. Hoping I can put the sweat pants and the down coats away for real this time!
