When downloading using Bit Torrent, I got a error that said "problem connecting to tracker - [errno socket error] (10060, 'Operation timed out').

Can anybody tell me what this means?

Bittorent relies on websites known as 'trackers' to function. If someone just hosts a file wit the torrent extension without a tracker, the download will definitely fail.

"Okay so now what is a trackers?" you're probably asking. an example of a tracker is at http://a.scarywater.net . It tracks the number of uploads, downloads, completions, etc.

In other words, either the tracker's server is down, or you're visting a site that is trying server torrents without a tracker...
