New member maybe?

Okay. I know of other people who are looking for a safe place to discuss what's going on in the world. And who would be interested in this forum.

naturewoman from the Homesteading Forum is one of these people. Her real name is Julie. And she's wonderfully intelligent and balanced. Although on Homesteading, she is pretty well labelled a liberal, her viewpoint is actually fairly diverse, encompassing both liberal and conservative and maybe best described as moderate.

Later this afternoon, I will post links to some of her threads. But I wanted to go ahead and post this message. Linda

We have already had mention of her by the site admin here. I really anticipated that she would be invited when you were.

I vote Yes, but I am already familiar with her posts.

Yea, I think naturewoman's pretty darned cool!

So here are links to three threads she posted on. I'll post some more links late this evening or tomorrow am. This will give you all a sampling. The next links will be from differing kinds of topics.

No problem with me neither . . . I've read her posts also.

I say yeah. I like her style. Nice lady.

Hey Linda. Have you ever "spoken" to willow-girl? I kinda think she might like it here too.

I'm sorry I'm being negligent about this. :-( I'm having kind of a chaotic day, right in the middle of a million loose ends. I'll get more links posted tomorrow.

As for willow_girl ... WELL ... I haven't approached her but ... I know someone who has. :-) About this board, I mean. I haven't heard anything yet so ...

Also, Beneng, but that's another thread. :-) I like Beneng. And she REALLY hates to fight and just wants to talk about homesteading and life and Weird Stuff. :-)

More threads tomorrow, I promise.

Yeah, I like Beneng too.

I have no objections against either of them. I had some enjoyable sparring with willowgirl. We're both grateful that we dont share the same neighborhood :>)

I vote Yes & Yes.

I am very busy today through the next few days, so I don't know if I'll get to post later.

Linda, and all others, PLEASE DO NOT GIVE OUT THE PASSWORD TO ANYONE ELSE YET. If someone has the time, please explain to Linda how we usually decide whether or not to let anyone else in. Until we all agree to a different method, let's stick to that.

Which is not to say that we can't have new members, just that we need to follow our usual custom, which is that we don't hand out the password to anyone unless everyone either agrees or at least does not disagree.

I'll try to check back later.

Oh no, I wouldn't ever give out the password unless the person has been approved! Please don't worry about that.

In any case, I need a bit more patience here. I'm suffering a lot of *chickens coming home to roost* in the form of loose ends by the handful. Which, thankfully, I'm getting tied up but it's definitely a one by one process.

Hopefully, by tomorrow, I will have cleared my plate enough to pay proper attention to naturewoman, threads, etc.

There is no reason to feel rushed, Linda; take as long as you like. Things usually move pretty slowly around here, when they're movin at all! :)

Ok Linda, I changed my mind; when I suggested you can take as long as you like I didn't mean this long! :) Where is ya?

It's been a very strange few days. :-) First, I kept crashing the computer, especially the side with the password for this site on it. (It's a two OS Mac, and I only just now got the good sense to write the password down ;-) )

Then of course, spring is here, and I'm behind on everything. And I've been meaning to come here but I've been trapped in this kind of ... very strange place.

For example, I spent most of yesterday in a quandary because a friend informed me the night before they were coming up to visit. But this is a really flakey friend and it's a good 4-5 hour drive here and they were really underestimating the time it would take and besides, they had to be 2 hours away from here by 8 last night - 2 hours away from here in the direction they were coming from.

??

Please don't ask me why this sent me into The Land of Quandriness yesterday. But it did. And of course, they didn't arrive until 8 last night. But I spent the entire day totally immersed in whether they'd arrived at all.

So it's been a number of days like that. Other than the straightline winds today, though, I think things are kind of back to normal. Well ... well, normal for ME!

Good, you're still among us! I dunno how many people have been invited in, stayed a few minutes (some a few weeks, just long enough to get to feelin friendly to 'em) and then they disappear!

Our weather in MN is doing its usual bipolar April stuff. It was heavenly here for several days; 90* on Monday. Today, 42, rain and sleet: yuk.

Yes, definitely still here! just having a strange few days.. which may not be over, thanks to these straightline winds which are REALLY spooking me!
