Rich Running

greenspun.com : LUSENET : MV Agusta F4 : One Thread

Has anyone out there had problems with there F4 running very rich? I have a Senna with RG3 pipes and the chip fitted and the end of my silencers are always black. I have tried running it on both 95 & 97 octane fuel to no resolution. I am thinking of fitting a Power Commander - has anyone tried this and does it work. Thanks.

Hi Nick,

I have had the same experience with my bike, a 1999 F4 Oro with Silmoto pipes.

I thought it was running rich and this was confirmed by the dyno operator when I had my Power Commander mapped.

He said "it is running way too rich at the top end" and after leaning it out we subsequently got 6 BHP more from my bike.

Please see my web site www.moto-mv.com and click the Power Commander page where you can see before and after power curves from my bike.

Please contact me if you need any more help, all my details are on the web page.

Regards,

Mark Bridger
