From my understanding, it all depends on a couple of things: what is your internet connection speed, and how many people are downloading the same file that you are vs. how many seeds are available?

If your DL speed is slow, and there are too many people downloading with not enough people to get the file from, then there's really nothign that can be done. [I'm relatively new to bittorren, too. If i'm wrong, someone, please correct me.]

I downloaded Gundam Seed ep 26 last night and even though it said "New!" it was still extremely slow. I put it all down to the general sucktitude of Bittorrent. As for older episodes just be resigned to the fact that they are going to be slow as heck because Bittorrent relies on having other people either seeding or dling at the same time. Grin and bear it, boy.

p2p programs suck, ditch them. the only good p2p is suprisingly KaZaA lite, dunno how that happend since KaZaA sucks, but they finally fixed all the bugs. still doesn't change the fact that p2p sucks, search for websites, they're out there

Torrent limits dl speed proportionally to the upload speed, so if you upload slowly/not at all then your dl speed will suck. Another problem could be a firewall/nat, torrent uses ports 6881-6889. Reading the faq would be a good idea. http://bitconjurer.org/BitTorrent/FAQ.html

If you're gonna use Kazaa Lite, dump it and use Shareaza. But WinMX is also good if you have enough files of your own to create trades with people (or if you're willing to just wait in queues)

Did I also mention that running Bittorrent makes my computer sloooow? I forgot? Well it does and that really sucks 'cos you can't do anything worthwhile. Something to watch out for if you really want to use Bittorrent.

I don't know what everyone's complaining about. I download files from BT at 100+ k/sec - I can't even get above 7 most of the time on IRC. The older episodes do pose a problem, but I bear with it - I just download via IRC the episodes I need until I can catch up with BT instead.

It seems that animejunkies supports downloading for BitTorrent.

Currently ep.24-27 seems available.
