I would say Goku just because 1. Vegeta's way too cocky, which is OK considering he is a saiyan and a prince, and 2. Goku is definetly more powerful, so yeah. First of all DBGT is shit. It was not created by Akira Toriyama. I prefer Goku because his power is greatly superior to Vegeta's at the end of DBZ. In DBZ Vegeta never reached SSJ3, in fact he never did. He had to cheat to reach SSJ4 in DBGT. To me the DB series ends at DBZ, in which Goku achieved SSJ3.

Alright now let's take a look at this interesting question. First of all, the question who's better vegeta or goku. I'd have to say they're in a tie for me. You must look at all of the sides if you want an answer (i personally think) anyways... Vegeta is awsome because of his characteristic trates. He's a smart ass. Which I do love, because he does make Goku look like an ass, and that's just funny. Now in strength wise, I'd have to go with Goku on this one. Because of how he achived his power, which i think is pretty kool, concidering that it's taken him a long ways up there. Vegeta in strength knows that he cannot defeat Goku even if he tried his best, he even gave his respect to Goku in the Buu saga. But I do really wish that Vegeta could beat Goku some times, cuz Goku needs to be slaped around by the prince for a bit! My favorite is when they both achive SSj4. That's the best. Now in yaoi wise, I think they make a pretty cute couple, i like it because they fight alot, and the tail thing just gets me. I really do like it when Kakarot comes out of Goku. It seems to me like he has multi-personality. When it comes to a yaoi series and a doujinshi, I favor Goku and Vegeta the best. So I guess i can't really say for sure, I like them both.

Vegeta, as a character is far superior. Goku has shown little if NO character development. Sure.. he keeps getting physically more powerful, but has he shown any thing as far as personality? Nope.. ideal nice guy, never gives up, never say die.

In the saiyan saga when Goku and Vegeta first fought, Vegeta was alot stronger than goku. Until Goku uses his 3x Kaioken attack and the kaioken is not is power, its his technique. In my opinion, I say that makes him a cheater, when Goku uses his kaioken attack against Vegeta and Frieza. So I say Vegeta because he's the Saiyan Prince and Goku is a Low-Class Saiyan.

In DBGT I don't think Vegeta cheated to become a SSJ4. The SSJ4 can only be reached by absorbing the earths brute waves. Then Bulma made a copy of the earths brute waves and made a brute ray machine. Afer Vegeta absorbed enough brute rays,he became a golden oozaru and manage to control his oozaru, Vegeta is now a SSJ4!!! So I say he DID NOT CHEATED SO THERE!!!!! 1.goku may be naive and has a child-like personality, but that doesnt mean that he's dumb. it's not his fault that he grew up away from civilization and have no clue about what fashion, technology, driving, and many other things he may not know about is. (marriage is no longer an option since he's married now.) 2.goku is not ugly. the fact that he has a child-like appearance makes him look very sweet and cute. he may not look very sexy and have a hot ass body, nor wear spandex, but that is no excuse for calling him ugly. 3.using the kaioken technique is not cheating. goku had to train hard to learn that technique. the kaioken does not give goku extra power it just heighten his power up. that's why goku can only go but so far using it against vegeta in the saiyan saga 'cuz if he were to further his power too far it would put strain on his body. so in order to use that technique, goku would really have to train his body for it so it wouldnt do damage to it. 4.sure all goku may know is to eat, sleep, fight, watever. but so does vegeta. that's 'cuz it's a saiyan thing. even though there might be more to vegeta, like his cockiness which many of you like, and the fact that he's of royal blood, and has great pride doesnt make him any better than goku. that's just how he thinks and how he was brought up. same as goku. that was how goku was brought up as well, eating, sleeping, and fighting. if goku was put into the same situation as vegeta then he probably would have turned out the same way. 5.this is not an issue. many of you, vegeta favored or goku favored, agree to the fact that goku is better in strength. yes i have to agree with the one that says that it isnt fair how goku's power is always increasing, while vegeta went through some shit and is still unable to match up to goku's power. dont get mad. but in my opinion, i think that the reason to that is because vegeta is way too damn cocky. thats exactly what got him killed on namek. he thought that he was a super saiyan when he really wasnt, just because he wanted to prove something to frieza and didnt want to be any lower than goku. sometimes you just have to face the facts. even though vegeta did finally gave his respect to goku in the buu saga. goku on the other hand, sees no barrier. he never gives up and fights for the sake of everyone which is the reason why he always succeeds in strength. to vegeta, your emotions are your weaknesses, but i have to agree with what goku said to frieza on namek. "If your emotions make you weak, then why am I the only saiyan left?" but for those who think that goku needs to give someone else a chance at saving the earth probably dont even pay enough attention to the show. Goku only came and saved the day 3 times.(not entirely) -the fight against raditz dont count. goku was only trying to save his son. and any loving parent would go and save their children if they were kidnapped. -even though goku came to save the day in the fight against the saiyans, he still had to get his ass saved when gohan, krillin, and yajorobe came to help him out. -goku did save the day in the fight against the ginyu force.(the ginyu force not captain ginyu, but he saved himself anyway, not to mention vegeta. now say something about goku being stupid if u remember what happen in that episode.) and with the fight against frieza. even though goku didnt actually defeat him, which allowed trunks to come and save the day in future episodes, it was still goku's idea to use the dragonballs to wish everyone on to earth except for himself and frieza 'cuz he knew that if he didnt settle the fight right then and there then frieza would just come looking after him. (still think he's dumb?) -even though goku could have saved the day against the androids, he didnt 'cuz he got a heart disease and vegeta was able to take his place. the fight against cell had nothing to do with goku. that was a big character change in goku. for the first time he did have doubt in himself for fighting cell and he literally stated that he was no match for him and that someone else was even stronger than he was. sure he was talking about his son, gohan, but still goku didnt end up saving the day on that one even if he did give gohan some counselling in the end, but it was vegeta who really allowed gohan to defeat cell. -lastly in the fight against buu. even though goku in the end was the one to overcome all and defeat buu, he still wouldnt have been able to if it wasnt for vegeta's thoughtfull plan. and also during the battle against buu, goku did state that he could have beaten buu along time ago but he didnt 'cuz he wanted to give goten & trunks a chance at saving the day and later on he did the same for vegeta, but vegeta ended up getting beaten anyway. but enough of me talking about all the stupid things you people say about goku.

the reason why i think that goku is the better than vegeta is b/c for one think goku never gives up. neither does vegeta, but there is a fine line between being cocky and being confident. i believe that goku is a better fighter in that there is a difference in their motivation. the reason i think that goku is able to reach new levels and stay on top of vegeta is that he trains for the purpose of finding new things about his strength. thats how he was able to reach ssj3. goku was also the one to come up with the idea that there is probably a greater level than that of super saiyan. goku not only trains his body but also his soul and he uses more than just strength to win a battle. he uses wit, emotions, and whatever it is that he finds that can help out in a battle. vegeta on the other hand only trains for the sole purpose that he will one day be greater than goku. when goku died during the cell games, vegeta almost gave up on that idea and lost his motivation for training. the only thing that kept him going was the idea of staying strong and to train trunks and make him stronger than gohan. i mean what is this obsession of his with becoming stronger than the Son family? i also happen to like goku's innocent personality. i know, no one can be that innocent, but apparantly they made goku that way. but what i like about his innocent personality is mainly that smile of his that always makes you happy and feel just like a little kid and it actually makes goku look like that little kid. vegeta on the other hand needs to get out more. i know his attitude and rude comments is what makes him vegeta, but every once in a while you would at least like to see vegeta loosen up. just picture it. vegeta acting like a kid, i bet that will bring some laughter. speaking of laughter. i happen to think that goku is funny. his jokes may not be all of that, but the fact that he acts like a kid and is so naive is what makes him funny. not to mention his fear of needles. vegeta, i would have to say, is also quite funny himself. but he isnt the same type of funny as goku is. what makes vegeta funny is the fact that he acts more like a parent to goku and especially the many rude comments he says about him. and i for one happen to think that his wanting to blow you up technique for getting on his nerves is a classic. but that whole "Holey Namek!" phrase just made him seem too...well what should i say? but like i said, i like goku better 'cuz he's just goku and no other anime character can compare to him. sure you can always find a character who had a tormented childhood, who was once all for the good of evil turn good sort of person that loves to fight somewhere on anothe anime show. but its harder to find another one like goku. (although i would say that vash from trigun sure comes close). thats y i love goku 'cuz he's unique and so what if he's not realistic compare to vegeta's personality, but that's what makes him so special b/c he's different as well as vegeta.

but to conclude this like any other true fan. i would have to say that goku, in my opinion is not the best character. i havent to think that trunks is hot! when ever i see a pic of him i would just have to fan myself. i wouldnt say that he's mine but i will fight you for him. what more can you want in a guy. he's cool, nice dresser, have a great hair cut, strong, love those muscles!, and not to mention HE'S SINGLE!!!!!!!(unlike everyone else, except for yamcha) i think that his trouble past adds to his profile. But, even though i think that trunks is hot, i would have to say that i admire gohan. gohan is my fav character of all time. tell me if i'm crazy, but i just love sweet guys. he's sweet and gentle, not to mention shy. yet he's packing with a force underneath it all enough to blow up the whole galaxy. although this might sound wierd. even though i love gohan so much, i think that he and videl make a cute couple and i will be the first one to tell u that he is a no good momma's boy geek. but that's when he grows older. that's why my fav gohan is ssj2 gohan at the age of 11. 'cuz thats when he stands up and proves that he doesnt always need to depend on someone else to win a battle for him and to save his hind. although gohan is the cutest when he was four wearing that all so cute hate w/ the dragonball on it and that tail of his. awwwwwww!!!!!!!! but even though i think that gohan grows up to be a geek, doesnt mean that i dont like him as a teen or an adult. although i've only seen him once as an adult and that was when pan was 4. but one more thing. gohan looks hot in super saiyan form at the age of 17. maybe he should think of going blond. I think that the only reason that Vegeta acts the way he does is because no one will give him a chance I mean It looks like everyone is trying to be his friend but Vegeta can see right through them all from spending time on Frieza's ship. In a since they all hate him except for his family and Goku.That's why he doesn't give alot of respect to people because you have to give respect to earn there's hardly a person that would compliment him on anything that he's done right.Yeah he's screwed up a couple of times but he's always tried to fix it.There's also a reason he's so cocky and arrogant to that's how everyone expects him to be if he came to ask Goku to spar with him and he said Hey Goku wannna spar today I'm sure Goku would pass out.Bulma's the only person besides Goku that actually gets him and knows why he's a complete pain in the ass excuse me Royal pain in the ass.I go for the underdog believing that they can become a hero just like the main character. I believe that Vegeta deserves a chance it's not completley his fault he's that way. I think Vegeta uses this alot "And I don't want the world to see me cause I don't think that they'd understand when everthing's made to be broken I just want you to know who I am".He lets his pride go to remember what he said"Your better than me Kakkarot"I also believe in a since Vegeta has chosen exile from his birthright to become King if he hadn't then he would have wished his planet and people back by now so I think that he has given up trying to be a prince or king amd he only says he's a prince cause like I said before everyone expects him to say it.
