Who is in for WSB @ Laguna Seca

greenspun.com : LUSENET : MV Agusta F4 : One Thread

Let's try and organize a day during the event we can all get together, snap a few photos, then head into Carmel Canyon and do some hot laps. There are some fun roads south of the track in the mountains we can go explore. The big races are on Sunday, so maybe early Sat. morning or Fri. afternoon, whatever works for the majority. It is the weekend of July 12th and 13th, so mark your calenders.

A couple of us are gonna make the trip from Florida but because of time restraints, we are gonna fly. This means no bring the motorcycle this year but I would be very interested if there is some kind of gathering. Its not like it will be easy to miss a group of MVs for those that are bring their machines.

By the way, we are flying into San Jose. This is the closest airport, right?

San Jose is THE closest...but not the best airport in the area..if you wanna maximize your visit, SFO in sanfrancisco is better, and you drive into the "city by the bay" if you so choose, its only minutes from the airport. Otherwise, its 45 minutes NORTH of the Sanjose airport terminal. Monterrey (laguna seca)is approx. 1.5 hours from San Francisco, and is EASY to get to. San Jose is 40-50 minutes from the track...depending on the traffic and speeds you choose to 'drive' at.

I thought Sacramento will be the closest airport...

No, Val's right. SJO is the closest, but not as convenient as SFO. Sac adds another 2.5 hours to the trip Hope to see you all there

We (motowheels) will have a booth at Laguna. We will have some MV aftermarket wheels and parts on display. Come by and see our BST carbon wheels on our MV project bikes.

Thanks for the airport info guys.

I suggest we meet at the Embassy Suites Hotel parking lot early Sat. morning. The hotel is easy to find and in the middle of town. Lots of bikes to look at and we can grab some grub before we split. Let's put this thing together, we may not get another opportunity this year to get this many MVs together.
