Hi! im Lucia, im doing my tesis in schizophrenia and Im having a hard time trying to find a succesful program for a schizophrenic patient who eats everything he finds, for example he once ate a complete bottle of cofee, he also eats toothpaste etc. For my tesis they are asking me to find a succesful program (a program that someone already did) used for someone with the same problem...Please im really having a hard time with this, if someone can help me find it I would be very happy...well thank you!

[Added later on 30 April 2003--] Oh! I'm sorry I forgot something very important, the succesful program I was talking in the other question has to be of behavior therapy...well that's all...thanks!

Have you checked the Schizophrenia Bulletin? It is described at http://www.nimh.nih.gov/publicat/schizbull.cfm That's a good place to start. Of course you can also search PsycInfo using "schizophrenia" and "eating" as search terms.

You might try looking at the behavioral techniques used for someone withh Prader-Willi syndrome. Good luck!
