greenspun.com : LUSENET : A.M.E. Today Discussion : One Thread

We as editors and staff of the AME HERALD would like to thank all of you for your support and encouragement. Our weekly online news magazine debuted on April 28. As of May 3, we had 1,062 visitors to our site! We want to thank you for visiting and we hope you will join us every week as we provide news from across the denomination. We have columnists, bureau chiefs and a music editor who will be featuring some of our best ame choirs on our website. God laid this on my heart to begin the AME HERALD. But Rev. John Fisher gave me the courage to do this by his example. We are volunteers, we are following in the foot steps of our forefathers and foremothers who believed that this was the greatest denomination in the world; and thus worked hard so that we could enjoy what we have today. Please keep us in prayer, spread the word, join us in our chat rooms which begin Monday May 5th 9 PM EST. And please be patient with me as I continue learn how to do this computer languages. Our next phase will be audio and video for the website. Our final phase will be 100 free email accounts for our readers. Again from all of us at the AME Herald thank you, thank you and please continue to read the herald. It is published every Monday 7 AM EST.

I truly enjoy reading the articles in the AME Herald. I cannot wait for more to come out. God bless you all in your endeavors. It's nice to see pictures of folk also. (Hopefully, I will be able to pick faces out of the crowd at convo in Philly.)

Mary thanks for your great words of encouragement! This is only our second issue and we have much more coming for the Herald. The herald has the most talented and gifted staff in the world! And we are all volunteers. And hopefully we will have some of the Herald staff at the next convo. We are planning on having some audio on the website from Convo. Again thank you so much Mary, it helps us at the Herald to continue working when we hear from the readers. God bless!!
