Manie Manie

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Animes : One Thread

I'm desperatly searching for a certain movie. It goes under various titles: Manie Manie / Neo Tokyo / Fantasy Tales. It consists of 3 short movies. "Labyrinth" by Rin Taro / "The Running Man" by Yoshiaki Kawajiri / "The Order To Stop Construction" by Katsuhiro Otomo.

I looked for it everywhere, but it's nowhere to be found. And since it is more an art-movie type of thing like Robot Carnival, I'm not at all surprised to not have been able to find it yet.

If anyone has this masterpiece, please share it with me. Whoever owns that movie really has excellent taste and will most likely be very difficult to satisfy. But I'm confident that I can offer her/him something usefull in return.

So long

I see, so there is a way to get hold of it after all. I hope to find out more with some "w" questions:

What did you buy?

Where did you buy?

When did you buy?

Why did you get these additional movies? Was it some kind of discount you were granted? Oh, and was it coincidence that you got Manie Manie, or did you ask for that title?

Thank you very much!

Well, I managed to locate it for you, but it's not a cheap site I found. It's AMO Tokyo, and here's the address: http://www.amotokyo.com/default.asp?main=/main/shop/m.html You'll find it listed near the bottom of the page: Mani Mani Meikyu Monogatari - Neo Tokyo - They're selling the DVD and CD. Hope that helped. Dorothea

PS "Wicked City" is being sold on EBAY for .01 cents. Type in Kawajiri and you'll find it. Just in case you're interested...
