Can anyone tell me the order of which I should watch the .hack series? I already saw all of the .hack//sign. episodes and I want to know if .hack dusk is next or the twilight one, or what the heck is going on because I really really want to see the what happens next after .hack//sign.

dusk and twilight are the same. about which order it doesn't matter b/c dusk has a different story line and liminality deals with a different story line. There are 2 series and a few ovas. The first series is .hack//sign. The next one is based on the game series, and is called .Hack//Tasogare no Udewa Densetsu (.hack//Legend of the Twilight bracelet), and is also known as .hack//dusk. The ovas (.hack//Liminality) are released with the games, and are unrelated to .hack//sign, and are set before .hack//TnUD.

Where can i download .hack//sigh 's episode #27? can someone tell me? I think that you should watch the ova's first, just so you know what's going on with the world. Then .hack//sign so you can see what happens to the characters as they are trapped inside, then the game series (There's four so far), after that then .hack//dusk.

The .hack series is based on a really not so complicated storyline. it's basically that there is a game called "the world", there is something wrong with the world that traps everyones's mind for some reason, and then there is a few series evolved around that. Which order you watch it didn't really matter, since it kind of all tell you the same thing. Only different people experienceing it.

First of all there are only 26 episodes in .hack//sign. Your would start to watch it with .hack//sign which after that goes to the 4 games including their ovas which happen around the same time. Last there is .hack//legend of the twilight bracelet which is 4 years after the games finish and kite $ black roses accounts are banned. The reason at the end of .hack//sign why they say that its not the end is becuase of the game and the ovas and then the next series that starts. It doesn't mean that there are more episodes coming out. If you have seen an episode 27 you are lieing, haven't really seen it all and watched an episode titles 27 which was another episode or just tricked.

Actually, episode 27 DOES exist. I just sat down and watched all of the episodes, I downloaded a total of 27, and they were all different. episode 27 deals mainly with mimiru's expierence in "The World" when she was 12. before she met bear, tsukasa and everyone else. you, my friend, are a moron.

well first of all i didnt know there was a series on .hack//then c'mon sence came to me there has to be! But there is 27 eps.& there will be more! They just have to translate them just like dbz-dbgt.The only thing is they have to make it G-rated cuase most animes swear! first off im not sure how many episodes are in the .Hack//sign which was a short name for "Twilights Bracelet". Then 4 years later in the story line come .hack//Dusk which is mainly about the 2 lengendary hackers "Kite" and "Blackrose" this serie is also called "Legend of the Fables" Then more or less about the same time that Dusk is around is .Hack//Limitality

Actually .hack//DUSK is the fan title of Legend of the Twilight Bracelet. and DUSK isn't about the legendary hackers. It's about two kids who won the characters in a contest. The original players of Blackrose and Kite were banned/quit.

The last person who typed was completely correct, only the names of the video games were of the Japanese version. Here in stupid America, we simplified the names, so we have .hack//INFECTION, .hack//MUTATION, .hack//OUTBREAK, and .hack//QUARANTINE. Just so everyone knows, episodes 27 and 28 of .hack//sign do exist, but they have nothing to do with the story line of the first 26 episodes. This has been confirmed at Otakon 2003 by animeondvd.com who got the information directly from Bandai (http://www.animeondvd.com/press/conventions/otakon2003.php) Episode 28 features characters from the PS2 games and the .hack//sign series...and apparently they dance....

And you call yourself .hack// fans. You must be new to not know about the 27 episode of SIGN. Just so you know it was released as a bonus on the las DVD in the Japanece version. It is centered in mimiru and how she started playing. Episode 28 is confirmed and I saw some screenshots (too bad I can't remember where) and you could see Kite (from the game). So stop saying is another serie and that it dosen't exist becouse they do, but this is the first time I hear about ep 29. You all are stupid (most of you)! do some research damnit! Bonus episode 27 is mimiru's past story, which also disgusses the origin of Gardania (from //Fragments). Bonus episode 28 introduces KITE to //SIGN (slightly more screentime then Balmunk). little is known about bonus episode 29, because it hasn't even been released in japan (officially yet) but a fansub *CAN* be found somewhere online. .hack//ANOTHER STORY is a DVD that will be released soon in both Japan and america, that contains .hack//SIGN bonus episodes 27-29, all 4 of the //LIMINALITY's, and a preview episode of //udeden

gosh most of you guys are just stupid...you mix everything up... here a small list of anime eps of hack: Hack//Sign 1-26 (TV Series 1) Hack//Liminality 1-4 (OVA) Hack//Dusk aka Twilight Bracelet 1-12 (TV Series 2) Hack//Sign 27 (DVD-Special 1) Hack//Sign 28 (DVD-Special 2) (this dvd was released in japan this week i believe) So ppl stop posting that Anim-Kraze subbed ep 1-29 or some shit. They did sub Sign 1-27, Liminality 1-4 and Dusk 1-12! over and out! There might possibly be a Sign 29 (DVD-Special 3) in the future... but no release of it is there yet...and will not be able as fansub before the actual dvd release. Same with Sign 28...i expect a fansub within 2 weeks...not earlier.

.hack//GIFT is also called .hack//SIGN 29 but there is not an episode 29 that exists within the .hack//SIGN title, but with the opening and closing, some people got into the habit of calling it episode 29 having already an episode 27 and 28. and .hack//GIFT takes place shortly after .hack//QUARENTINE as a mock of the loss of pride Orca and Balmung face.
