Casoli F4 picutes

greenspun.com : LUSENET : MV Agusta F4 : One Thread

I can't stop drooling over the Casoli F5 I saw in Italianbike website. Does anyone know where I can find more pictures/links to view this heavenly machine? F4 in Ferrari colors. That's nice....

The last i heared about this bike it had blown up? yes it does look good but its not an MV ENGINE

The bike featured in Italian bike magazine has been owned by me since the beginning of 2003 - it has since been tested by other bike magazines and is used regularly as a weekend stress buster although if it is parked anywhere it causes this owners blood pressure to rise with the amount of attention it draws because it can't be left unattended. Reliability is fine despite an erroneous statement that it has blown up. Blow ups have occurred with some conversions when fitted to post 2001 engines - this is because MV changed the valve stem diameter on later engines and this causes a problem with the big bore kit clearances. This situation is now resolved,so if you want a F4 MV with some grunt and a glorious noise then i'd recommend it.The factory 1000 is here but it is castrated by emmissions regulations and anyway putting together your own bike is always more satisfying.

How would the valve stem diameter change the valve to piston clearance? Did they change compression in 02 as well? Possibly the included valve angle or change in valve head size? I can't imagine how changing the diameter would lead to piston/ valve contact without other parameters being changed as well.
