TROUBLE WITH BITTORENT!!!

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Animes : One Thread

Okay, so on my 56K connection, I go to TW, and click on the Naruto .torrent file link, it takes me to another site, and i click on the link to Naruto 28. So it downloads the .torrent, allocates the memory, and appears to start downloading, but then, IT STAYS AT 0 kb/s FOREVER!!! I know it must be over 0 kb/s, cause it says 62 hours left to download!!! It said on the site that there was 13 seeds and 33 clients, so WHY DOESNT IT DOWNLOAD?!?!?!?!? Bittorent, as much as ive TRIED to use it, has been about the least successful program for downloading! Worse than Kazaa! I mean, come on! Im not gonna wait 62, wait, no, now it says 73, hours for ONE EPISODE to dl!!!! I thought that BT was FAST! Is that supposed to be a joke?

I know how you feel. I have a cable internet connection and I'm also getting 0 kb/s. Sometimes it goes up, but never higher than 5 kb/s. But I heard that your downstream is affected if you are uploading a file in bit torrent. But the problem is, how will I upload a file if this is the first time I use Bit Torrent. Meaning I'm not uploading anything.

The leecher/uploader ration also is held accountable.... Have the files that you've been downloading been around long? They're probably not seeded.... ><

Well, I always check the website and there are 19 seeds right now. But I'm still getting that crappy 4kB/s.

Ive had the same problem and I got cable. simply cancel the download and re-start. it may nerer work. i once got a speed of 25kb, but its usually 2kbs. also, unlike a normal download, the file ur DLing takes up as much space as it would when it finished, so it takes up alot of space. if ur like me and ur going to many sites to get it and getting many versions, it adds up fast. Im disapointed i thought BT was sposed to be good
