I just picked up my new 2002 F4 1+1 last week and it is awesome! I was originally going to keep riding my other bike, a Yamaha R6, to keep the miles off the new F4. But after riding the F4 for 450 miles, I have no interest in crawling back onto the R6. However I had to drive the R6 over to a friend's garage for temporary storage, and I swear it felt like I was riding a Honda Elite 80 scooter! The R6 which continues to get high marks in motorcycle magazine reviews, just doesn't come anywhere near the handling, power, and beauty of the F4. I can snap the F4 over into a tight turn instantly, while the R6 feels uncoordinated and loose. I don't mean to rip on the Yamaha R6, but after experiencing the F4 I'll never be able to go back. And as far as the attention it draws, there's no comparison. Everyday I ride the F4 admirers gather, whether it's in the parking lot, the car in the next lane, fellow bikers on the road, or passer-byer's on the sidewalk, they all stop to look and compliment it. Even Harley riders who notoriously snub sport bikes have complimented my F4.

Funny you mentioned that. I recently got an R1 to backup the MV for commuting. Despite beening a great commuting bike, I find myself still using the MV for the daily grind. Make me wonder why I got the R1...which is for sale if anyone's interested.
