Employee Timetables

greenspun.com : LUSENET : ACL and SAL Railroads Historical Society : One Thread

More of a request than a question. I am working with Larry Goolsby in compiling a complete list of every employee timetable ever issued by our railroads. I'd like to start first with the three obvious ones. SAL/ACL/SCL. Then when we have made good progress, we can start looking at other rr like A&WP, GaRR, WofA, AB&C etc. But lets start with those three first. Looking for all divisions, all dates. As far back as we can go. And as up to date as we can go. What we need is for all our society members to scour their boxes and drawers and dig out their collections and send me the following information via my email address:

Railroad Division Date of Issue Number of Timetable

I am compiling an Excel spreadsheet that we will post onto the web site somewhere so anyone who is collecting can see what they might be missing. At some point down the road we might even make the actual ETT's available via PDF format. But thats down the road. First we need to compile the list. It was also suggested we include rule books in this list. My preference right now would be, one thing at a time. Lets see if we can get a complete list of ETT's. Then maybe a complete list of Public Timetables. Then Rule Books. Then whatever else. So look through your ETT's. Write up the list of what you have and send it to me. I'll add it to the spreadsheet and when it looks like we have a complete list, we'll get it posted. Any questions? Please ask. Looking forward to contributions.

Thanks John

Another source of timetable information is Ebay. Most timetable listings give the division, date, and number along with a photo of the front cover. I have several that I will forward to John.
