Help! i'm very interested in opening a drive-thru gourmet coffee machine in my small town. I've found an excellent location, but I do not know anything about coffee making. I love coffee and would like to bring a little flavor to my small town. Is there any advice on types of grinder and expresso machines. Hopefully, a few books on the making of type bev. i would appreciate any advice

http://www.espressobusiness.com I would start on this site, lots of good information. I am in the same boat as you but still looking for the location.

I would start by speaking with the building inspector/zoning board for the town where you're interested in opening your business, if you haven't already, to see if you could open a drive thru in that location. I have found that some small towns can be difficult to work with. I hope that that will not be the case for you. Once you know that that's a go then I would contact a company like Eurocafe located in Rochester NY. I believe that they have wonderful start up packages for people such as yourself who want to start a coffee business. I think that the packages even come with a video. I don't know where you're located but I purchase my coffee cups from them and feel that they have quality products. Good luck.
