Which is the newer bike. Does the fact that the first is a 1+1 and the 2nd is a mono change anything?

oLD mv - ZCGAGFLJ52V200115 ZCGAGFLJ62V100427

That 2 in the 10th position indicates that they are both 2002 MY bikes.

Since the 3rd through 8th pos are the same (vehicle type and features) one could assume that the sequential numbers (last 6) are, well, sequential, making the 100427 the one produced first.

DO THOSE LAST NUMBERS GET AFFECTED BY WHETHER THE FIRST WAS A 1+1, AND THE 2ND IS MONOPOSTO?

I don't know how MV uses VIN numbers for their bikes. However, according to the VIN specs, the 100427 was produced first.

I checked several serial numbers of actual bikes when shopping for my 2002 in the USA.

What I noticed was a 1 after the V for monoposts, a 2 after the V on 1+1 bikes. I did not see anything in the VIN that relates to color. the 2 before the V indicates 2002, of course.

I do not know if the numbers after the xVx are unique. By this I mean: it may or not be possible that there exists a 2V200427 and a 2V100427. But some how I think it's more likely that there would not be both.
