Why Little Bit's post's come up at the top and everyone elses come up at the bottom

greenspun.com : LUSENET : ACountryPlace : One Thread

This is a quirk of lucinet. If you own the list your posts come up at the top. The only solution I know of is for the owner to post under a fake e-mail. It's been so long, if someone here remembers another way. Please post it.

Seems to me that's the way Doreen did it, just changed her name slightly because she didn't want it coming at the top.

Little Bit......if you would just do a hotmail or yahoo address for your posts, and use your real address only when it had to do with forum business, it would make it all much better. You also could disable the copy sent.....that's what I do with mine. I have a isp address for e-mail and the yahoo account for the forums. Works well and keeps them separate.

You can set the option in the administration protocol page as I recall. I set the singles board up to ignore my admin status when posting in active discussion. If I recall correctly, the option is in the same section as where you choose the answer configurations.

Its good to see that we have these boards as a contingancy option. Almost like a homecoming.

Okay this is how I am setting this up. New threads listed at the top. New posts within a thread come up at the bottom. I will post under fake e-mail which should not cause any bounce notices as My real e- mail is used on the alert list. I am doing it this way, because I need to follow this forum via e-mail and I do not have time to shuffle between separate e-mail boxes.
