REALLY OLD WESTINGHOUSE MANUAL CAR

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Elevator Problem Discussion : One Thread

I HAVE A REALLY OLD WESTINGHOUSE MANUAL CAR THAT DOESN'T HAVE A NAMEPLATE SO I DON'T KNOW THE TYPE. THE UPPER PART OF THE CONTROLLER HAS 2 DOORS WITH GLASS WINDOWS. SOUNDS ANCIENT, RIGHT. I BELIEVE THE GENERATOR HAS A 2 BRUSH REGULATOR ON ONE END.THE PROB IS THE CAR IS RUNNING SLOW IN BOTH DIRECTIONS. THE MUSIC BOX CONTACTS LOOK FINE.ANY IDEA WHAT TYPE? RELAYS SEEM TO BE OK 2.

THE CAR STATION CONTACTS AND MUSIC BOX CONTACTS ARE GOOD. DOES ANYONE HAVE A PRINT FOR THIS COTROLLER?

The control is probably an old RSBL, the relays behind the glass doors are telephone type with voltages ranging from 48-62.5 & 125 vdc. Your problem is most likely the output from the regulator, check your voltage from the regulator, it should be 125 or 230 depending on the system. E-mail me if you needa spare regulator or other parts for this system, I have most available.
