If neither bride nor groom have been baptized (he's divorced)

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Catholic : One Thread

Neither myself nor my fiancee have been baptized. I have never married before, but he is divorced. Can we marry in the Anglican church? I have wanted to be baptized myself for many years, and he is willing to as well, no question.

Krista, you want to know if you "can ... marry in the Anglican church [sic]"?

You must not realize that this is a Catholic discussion forum. The Catholic Church does not encompass the Anglican denomination of protestantism.

I won't say, though, that you have come here mistakenly. I think that Divine Providence brought you here! It would be a beautiful thing for you to learn about Catholicism and then receive the sacrament of Baptism. Please pray about it. We are here to help you take the next step.

God bless you.
John
