Yes, mong-ga is the way a person unfamilar with the Japanese language would spell the correct pronounciation of manga. Unfortuantly my mind is stuck in Japan.

no matter how you say it, you can't change the fact that manga is still manga. in my case, i say it as mang-ga. it's all about the difference in people's accents. prolly japanese people calls it mon- ga coz it's how they read it. but if you put that japanese person in a place where people are used of saying "mang-ga" instead of "mon- ga", they won't get it.

OMG ok I,m japanese (actually half) and I will tell all you people the RIGHT way to pronounce manga! It is "MAN GAH" not mon ga (sounds like some monk or something) Its MAN GAH I know this because I have grown up in Japan and can speak English and Japanese quite perfectly!
