We welcome with love our newborn son: Elias Benedict
Born on July 16, 2003, 9:32 AM
Weight: 8lb, 2oz
Length: 19.5"

He is given the name Elias because it is the prophet Elias who is considered by Holy Mother Church to be the founder of the Carmelite order, and he is born to us on this great feast of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel.

We give to him for a patron saint our Holy Father Benedict of Nursia; founder of the great Benedictine order, author of its holy Rule, and father of Western monasticism.

Mother and baby are well, and resting comfortably. It was love at first sight. email me for photos.

Congratulations Jake and family, Kiwi, that was a great joke. A friend once said that some of us operate completely on "Catholic standard time". God bless,
