I feel really silly asking this question: How do you load film into a Vivitar Slide printer? I took a workshop last spring, and finally purchased a slide printer via eBay. Unfortunately, it didn't come with instructions, and I can't figure it out. I know I'm missing something obvious... I believe I have the film in the right place, but I can't figure where the black strip goes - does it go into the roller somehow? If I leave the film where it is, the strip sticks out under the plastic cover, and that doesn't seem right. Thanks! Jen

You were doing this right. The black strip should hang over the edge when you close the top. It does not need to go through the rollers. Once you close the box and you see the black strip, you need to pull that out and discard it. That is when you will see a small white strip sticking out.

If you have trouble pulling the black strip out, loosen the top and try tugging the black strip out a bit.
