Yesterday (7/21/03) I was passing the depot at Martin, SC (Augusta, GA-Yemassee, SC)when I noticed a crew working on the buiding. I turned back to investigate further. A house moving company from Columbia was in the process of jacking the depot up for removal. I asked several of the workers for info., but they were reluctant to give answers. As I was leaving, one guy came over and quietly said he thought the move was to Denmark, SC. Any Society Member have a clue as to why and where this move is being made? Thanks, Bob

The architect working on the restoration/reuse of the SAL Denmark, SC station stated that the C&WC Martin, SC station was being moved to Denmark and is/will be located near the SAL station. Seem to recall him saying that a well known artist was going to use it as a gallery. Hope this helps.
