Whats Tokyo Underground about and Does Tokyo Underground and Tokyo Mew Mew have something alike?

Well, Tokyo Unerground is about a boy named Asagi Rumina. He's just entering high school and dreams of a rose-colored high school life (s he calls it) but messe things up when he gets into a fight at school trying to protect a girl. He and his friend Ginnosuke are going to his house and they find two girls there, Chelsea Rorec and Ruri. They came from a place called Tokyo Underground, which is...well, underground. The people that live there possess all sorts of special magical abilites and powers. Chelsea and Rorec were on the run from an organization called Company, who wishes to use Ruri, the inochi no miko (maiden of life) to ressurect a creature and get revenge on the surface dwellers (those who live aboveground). Rumina and Ginnosuke help Chelsea and Ruri to fight against and escape Company.

As for TOkyo Mew Mew, I've never seen it, so I can't compare it to Tokyo Underground. Altough, I think there is some stuff about people being injeced with animal DNA and there's a tiny bit of that in Tokyo Underground, but not much.
