They might want to watch dubbed anime if they don't have acess to subbed anime or it they're too lazy to get it.

It's simple. People get used to watching TV shows and such in their native language. They get atuned to being able to understand the words that they hear. They don't want to read subtitles to understand because they are used to understanding without reading. To them the subtitles are a henderence. Something that will take away from their overall veiwing experience.
However, what they don't realize is that if you make yourself watch subtitled anime or movies you gradually get used to it. After watching things that way for a while you even forget that you are reading to understand instead of understanding what you're hearing. It becomes like second nature.
Learning to watch subtitled anime is like learning to ride a bike. It's awkward experience at first but the more you do it the better it gets. ^_^

That too, but still.

the reason some people watch dubbed is because then u get to see wat's going on in the movie, and understand wat they're saying at the same time

Over time it's very easy to both read and watch what is going on. When I first started watching subbed anime, I would watch it twice. Once to pay close attention to what the characters say, and a second to pay close attention to the action. Now I don't. Anyways, I always like, watch a series over and over.

hehe I get so wrapped up in reading/watching that after a while i think the character voice(in japanese) was saying what i read(in english) maybe its just me but subbed rox... but then once in a while its nice to watch it dubbed cause you can just sit and listen instead of reading.. which everyone has to do more off.. and dubbed don't suck all the time.. as long as they don't get some random person from.. god knows wheres to talk while they have a high voice so they are shrieking everytime they talk making me scream everytime i hear them say their lines... brrr.. high squeeky voices are soooo annoying.. but dubbed are good sometimes... in Onegai Teacher its not too bad but the char voice in japanese is better.. also dubbed doesn't suck if you never hear the actual character voices.. like DBZ where the characters have messed up voices compared to the asian ones so i guess what i'm trying to say is dubbed is for people who never heard the originals or is realllly lazy

hey sometimes the dubbed voices sound quite good. Like the voices in Cowboy Bebop.

Whats the word for Japanese speech written out in English? (Like how they show as karaeoke on some NGE eps...) I think thatd be cool to learn. If i could learn Japanese orally, I'd watch raw eps.
