Does anyone know of a rear tag eliminator kit for F4?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : MV Agusta F4 : One Thread

Hello, All: I just bought my very own '02 F4 1+1 and am looking for a little aesthetic mods. As clean lines as the Agustas have, I still would like to find a sort-of rear tag/turn signal eliminator kit, if such exists. I hope this forum is not for 'purist' as I really would like to get this bike a bit personalized.

Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, jon

I got mine at Cycle Imports in Dallas, Texas (where I bought my bike). You can reach them at 972-488-2453

Hello JP,

Congrats on the purchase. You won't be disappointed. Moto Wheels has a fender elimintator kit for the MV which holds the license plate. They also have a kit that integrates the turn signals in the rear vent holes in the tail section. Both of these mods though can probably be made fairly inexpensively compared to the prices Moto Wheels wants but then again, they do look very nice. Good luck with the new machine!

Actually, here is the website to vist and click on Products, then Italian Motorcycle parts, then Misc., and then MV Agusta. You will find what you are looking for there. In the post above, if you copy and paste the links, they will take you directly there. I did not know that the links could not be clicked on directly from this site.

The website is: http://www.motowheels.com/index2.html

Here's a cheaper solution for the turn signals that was done on my bike (once again by Cycle Imports in Dallas): Use Ducati turn signals mounted to the frame under the tail. You'll need to bend the mounts down slightly, but it works. It will look similar to what Motowheels had, but are bigger and cheaper.

Cheaper and bigger? Sounds like GSXR1000 territory...Motowheels little billet halogen turn signal kit is very trick. The license plate is very clean as well.

Well, we're not talking Chevy truck taillight size! My personal feeling are that I don't like the mini blinkers, but hey, whatever floats your boat. Nice thing with all the different set-ups is that you can mix and match to your preference.

All - I think I am the second person on the planet with Motowheels' relocation kit as Martin being the first. Trust me when I tell you this - THIS KIT IS WORTH ITS MONEY, THEY ARE TOO AWESOME!!! They are very nice and the blinkers are ultra bright. I had them on my Senna and it looked cleaner than ever. Unforturnately I had to sell the Senna to another MV lover in Buffalo!!! Let me know if you have any other questions.
