Annulment Of Marriage

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Catholic : One Thread

My marriage was not preformed in the Catholic church due to the refusal of my (ex)husband to join or even part take in religion. We were married by a judge. How can I now marry in the church to another Catholic?

Jaime,

Contact your parish priest or the Diocesan Tribunal. You will need to go through an annullment on the grounds of "lack of canonical form." This is, usually, a much simpler process than other types of annullments. They will probably want a copy of your baptismal certificate and of your marriage license - showing where and by whom you were married.

Hope that's helpful.
