Grady Softball Gets Started With Two Close Games

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Grady Cyberspace Project - Real News : One Thread

The Grady softball team opened their 2003 schedule with two games in the APS pre-season tournament. Both games were extremely close, with Grady unfortunately coming out on the short end. Saturday, we opened against Southside. After two strong comebacks and a brief lead in the top of the seventh, we fell in the bottom of the inning, 22-21. A tough, long day in the sun. Tonight (Wednesday) we played another close one, losing 12-11 to Washington. Grady again came from behind to make the game very close.

The girls are working hard with good practices under Coach Thomas. Our next game is at Blessed Trinity Tuesday, the 19th. Our next "home" game at Southside is against Douglass on Thursday the 21st, at 5:00. The girls are earning our support; come out and cheer!
