Let there be a time of Prayer!

greenspun.com : LUSENET : A.M.E. Today Discussion : One Thread

This board has opened the door for many friendships, we have shared in the joy of the birth of grand children. We have cried as we grieve with our bb family at their family loss. We have discussed everything from homosexuality, to food.

I now would like to suggest that we open this thread for prayer concerns, and let us pray! Our family in Namibia is hurting, our troops are dying in iraq, there is a lot that we can do and that is pray. We are Methodist, our denomination was born out of prayer. It is through prayer that we can best help one another. Please join me by writing your prayers and petitions for prayers. And let us take a day to pray. Prayer is the keep that opens the door to Jesus.

My request is for the families who are struggling due to economic pressure. Especially young families.

I also want to extend a prayer for the people of Montana where Rev Denise lives. My prayer is that God will continue to give his angels charge over them to keep them safe, even their dwelling places. That the children will not be frightened, and that this will be a time for families to come together with their hearts and minds focused on God.

Also, let us continue to pray for all the scholars that will resume their studies during the upcoming weeks. Higher education brings positives as well as negatives, but let God's wisdom reign supreme in all things.
