Why does my bittorrent anyways freeze my comp when I'm in a middle of downloading anime movies?

that used to happen to me too and i wasn't sure why either. but i just restarted my computer not long ago and it hasn't happened since. btw, what windows do you use??

the beauty of bitorrent is that it lets you continue downloading the file when you come back and download it again. but for it to make your computer freeze is probably your downloading too many at the same time. so the computer runs slower than it should be (especially when you're browsing the net). in any case, if you check your system speed during bittorrent download you might be running your computer under .8 Ghz. that's what's usually in my case.

there is a bug in bit torrent. whenever you are downloading too fast, like above 300kbps, you will loose your internet access. I read it on the bit torrent faqs page, it says that they still havent found a solution to this bug.

if that occurs, then just restart your computer.

if your computer freeze when U run bit torrent everytime, then you probably need to update your network card driver.

I'm using window xp pro. Does it only happen to xp only? Or is it something wrong with bittorrent?
