The Bible

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Catholic : One Thread

The subject of the Bible, sola scriptura and related topics come up rather regularly.

A very good resource for anyone who is studying the Bible is:

Every Catholics Guide to the Sacred Scriptures Author: Rev. Jerome Kodell Thomas Nelson Publishers, 1975 0-8407-3186-8 -- 399 pages.

It is a wonderful resource. It explains the history of the bible, author of the biblical books and gives a survey of each.

God Bless,

John, It is great to have you back posting again.

Some have misunderstood your motives, I haven't.

We have disagreed in the past a little, agreed on much more, but I've always learned from you. You have made me question my ideas, and many times go deeper into research, only to come away with the conclusion that, "Dang it, John's right again".

We unfortunately only get a snipet of who people really are on this forum.

All of us have a writing styles that may or may not be kind to our true selves.

I glad you're back.

God bless you,

I am so touch to see the two JOHNS joining hands in this forum, thus giving me hope that with God, reconciliation is always possible no matter how much we disagree with each other.

I thank God for giving me J.F.G. and John P. for all their efforts and precious time contributing in the forum, helping and advicing many people including myself.

May God bless both of you.
