Some of the anime episodes have no sound and it works on my friend's computer, does anyone know if I should download any other codec besides DivX5.05

It has been a longtime that I stopped playing "What codecs do I need". K-Lite has a good Codec Pack (K-Lite Codec Pack). You can download from here: http://home.hccnet.nl/h.edskes/mirror.htm. One of my friend has the same probleme as you with Windows Media Player 8, once he upgraded to version 9 (probably has some more codecs), the sound appears.
