well at the very end of it she said this is a nasty feelin after he choked her like they were about to do some thing (SOMETHING) and remember afterthat they has a screen that said something in japanese so something could of happend thats good or bad after that

i thought he choked her so she could be born again....like the name of the first movie... death and rebirth but i don't know...i've watched it a couple of times and i still don't know...and a new neon genisis show....i'm looking forward to that.

same. i heard of the live action movie coming out. i really wana see that.

anyway - questions. i reckon shinji strangles her cos its revenge for what she did and accused him of earlier in the movie - in the flat where she says he depends on others then hurts them - and she didnt want that. also, u never see her die in the movie, so u cant say she was dead, just she touched his face while she was still alive, incase shinji's strangling killed her.
