I checked a great book out from the Library

greenspun.com : LUSENET : ACountryPlace : One Thread

The book is called Country Comforts Designs for the Homestead, by Christian Bruyere & Robert Inwood. It is filled with absolutely fantastic building designs for the homestead. Greenhouses, saunas, Rock stoves for cooking outside, and one of the most innovative goat shelters I've seen, milking stantions, and also amazing plans for building a forge. The book was copywrited in 1981, and has fantastic illistrations that really allows you to see the process of building as well as the finished structure. I am going to buy this book if i can find it.

Thanks for the heads up on this book Littlebit, I'm going to check our library for it right now. We just made the decision not to move once my husband retires - staying put right here in Ohio at this place. So....now we feel free to get started on a greenhouse and barn for goats, even though we will be taking it sloooww ;-), as we always seem to get ahead of ourselves.
