Amish Auction

Well, I am off to the Amish Auction in Clarita, Oklahoma. Praying for deals galore! Looking for the perfect chicken wing puller, or goat teat stretcher. Just kidding, actually I am looking for dairy calves, and any number of real farm tools on my list.

We had an absolutely fabulous time at the Amish auction! Bought myself a load of boxes full of useful things for a $1! Included was a decent chair, a metal desk, a rolled steel frying pan, an ancient tin skimmer, and stew spoon, several nice pieces of glassware, a set of heavy glasses, a variety of plumbing and electrical parts, a box of good joint compound,Several boxed record sets, a bookcase, 4 rolls of one foot wide plastic, many nice pictures and prints, an old mirror, about 20 plays, and a lot of other things. Not bad for a dollar! We also purchased several carbon steel knives, a sickle, a 15 lb box of Ham nets that will be used for years to come for cheese and Ham curing, two cane poles, and a box with a piece of Frankomaware that cost two dollars. It was a good day! It was also a muddy day, and a tiring day as I toted our things in an old stroller. If you want to get exercise try pushing a stroller through muck, up and down hills at the Amish Auction! I am sooooo sore! However, it was very worth the effort! Little Bit Farm
