URGENT! - we need someone with Pro Tools skills to help with VCA graudiate movie

greenspun.com : LUSENET : RMIT Sound Production : One Thread

Want to do the music for a cutting edge VCA documentary? (Soon!)

Filming has been underway for 6 weeks and this project promises to be amazing.

The film: A 20 minute observational film, following the lives of some of Melbourne’s homeless and under-class.... will be humorous and emotional.

Music style: Streetscape, dark in places, empowering in places...moody, dynamic...We want to mix piano with electronic sound-scape.

Skills and resources required: You need to be able to play the piano/keyboard and have access to Pro-Tools (or...4 track mixing etc) for mixing the various sounds and syncing them to the film action. May also involve using and editing other songs under royalty. If you want to team up with someone you know that’s fine by us.

If you have a sample of any of your music composition and/or performance we’d love to hear it. We will arrange for a blank CD to be provided.

Dates: Approximately 13/10 to 5/11 (Soon!), working in collaboration with the director.

$$: No, but this film will certainly be doing the festival circuit and hopefully a TV slot as well.

This is a great opportunity if you are looking to get into film scores or collaboration, or just enjoy producing and creating. The film's sound-scape will be an integral feature of the film and aims to be experimental/creative in order to challenge the viewers sense of comfort and emotional response.
