Any Doulas in the Sacramento Area

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Doula.Com General Discussion : One Thread

Willing to volunteer their services as part of Mommiecare's Volunteer Postpartum Doula Service. I just started this service in September and have advertised very little but from the response I have received I can tell I won't be able to meet the demands on my own and still place my family as number one. I truly want to give this service to all women too bad I just can't be everywhere at the same time. I am looking for women who are currently certified or are seeking certification to become doulas birth or postpartum. Our services include breastfeeding guidance, light housekeeping, errands, grocery shopping, light laundry, encouragement, Postpartum Education, sibling care, New born care tips, 24/7 phone support for the first 2 weeks postpartm and follow ups monthly for the first year, a family notebook with a time management class and family management class. If you are interested in this awesome opportunity and live in the Sacramento area please email me.

just replied to this message via email. Wanted to extend this offer again. Any Doulas who are willing to volunteer their time in either birth or postpartum, please just let me know and I will get an application out to you. This is a great way for New Doulas to get hands on experience and contact hours.

Dear Sara,

I am actually taking my Doula Certification training this weekend. I plan on going all the way with as many credentials as I can obtain. I am the mother of six, and grandmother of eleven. I have personal experience with natural birth, epidural, and ceasareans. I have already attended and provided support for fourteen births other than my own. My experience with breastfeeding is extensive. Becoming a doula is a drastic, albeit exciting change in careers for me. The caveat is that I live above Nevada City, although I do come "down the hill" once or twice a week anyway. Please let me know if you think there might be an opportunity for me to work with you in your area. I'm open, excited and very adaptable. If you would like to speak with me, my home phone # is: 530-288-2877 and cell #: 530-559-1161

Warmest Regards, Sandy Phillips

I am studying to be a postpartum doula. I live in the Sacramento area. I would love a chance to gain some experience, either through shadowing or volunteering.
