Perfect Harmony or preachin(as Hoot says)

As a musician, I treasure the brief moments of pure harmony I have experienced. In music that is always your goal, that pure joy of sound. It is ever before you. There are times when it is so far away that you think that it impossible to reach. There are times when it is only a whisper away. Life is like that. Sometimes we get weighed down by so much trash, that harmony of life is like a piece of paper on a windy day, seeming to skitter away just as we grab ahold. And yet at other moments we feel it keenly. I believe that Harmony can never be achieved here on earth, but through Christ our glimpses get longer and longer. When we shed ourselves of the trash of sin in our lives, and follow biblical principles, it is like a tuning fork on our lives. From this, springs all of the good things in life, community, faith, family, and purity. Perfect harmony, or at least as perfect as can be had here on earth. The kind of harmony I feel on a warm fall morning that has just the beginning of winter's chill when the grass is green, and a gentle breeze blows through the orchard. The harmony that made me move to the Country to be just that much closer to it. The Harmony of Creation that declares God is.

Praise the Lord I'm a "Bible Thumper", Hoot. You know Hoot, I appreciate you. Having been on these boards with you for years, I have watched you deal with all sorts of adversity, and criticism. Yet your message has always been the same. You never have wasted time arguing or getting down in the dirt with those who wished to. You remind me of Paul the apostle. I can just see you singin in that old prison. Wouldn't it have been amazing to see those prison gates just fly open through the power of God?

Lil Bit! You're correct about the oneness [is that a word?] we sometimes have, and want more of, with Almighty God and Jesus Christ. I can come about as close as possible with Him when I'm utdoors walking in His beautiful creation. The stillness of a winters day, snow on the ground and the solitude it brings is almost overwhelming at times.

The warm sunshine of an early spring day when all the snow and ice are meltin away is also another time. Settin in the shade of a summer day pickin my banjer is still another time to get close to Him.

The world thinks we're all a bunch of "wierdo, Bible thumpers" Lil Bit--and they're probably right. The Word talks about the "foolish shall confound the wise". I hope I continue to get more "foolish" for Him.

Folks He's coming back soon. Are you ready to meet Him? If not-- today is the best day of your life to do so. After He comes for His people--it will be too late then! Praise the name of Jesus!! "Seek ye today whom ye shall serve. As for me and my house we will serve the Lord"! old hoot Matt. 24:44
