experiment method

i heard that "experiment method could be said as the jewel among social psychology methods" 1.why they said that? 2.is it always true? 3.what should we keep in mind to choose the best method?

and also i want to ask about... 1.what is psychology? 2.what is mind? 3.why we study psychology? 4.why we study about history of psychology?
