What is the Church's view on organizations like Campus Crusade and things of this nature?

Campus Crusade for Christ is a Protestant evengelical organization. The Church's view is that a Catholic should seek out a Newman Center or other Catholic organization at a college campus.

The war in Iraq, while having a death toll rivaling that of the Crusades, is nothing more than a power struggle so that George W. Bush and the upper class of America can get more money and power. Do you think we honestly cared about getting Saddam out? If we did, why did we give him billions of dollars worth of chemical and biological weapons back in the 80's, wven though we KNEW he was using them on his own people? Why did U.S. troops help put down the Kurdish rebellion, which was a retaliation to the killing of several thousand Kurds?

FYI: The total number of deaths due to the crusades had been estimated at around nine million, at least half of which were Christians.

If I wanted a discussion on the crusades I would have asked about the crusades. I asked about an organization called CAMPUS CRUSADE FOR CHRIST. www.campuscrusadeforchirst.com Sorry I don't know how to make a hyperlink in html.

You don't actually need those "SIZE" and "/SIZE" tags.
And the "B" and "/B" tags, which control bold type, are optional too.
The following is sufficient:
< a href="http://www.wherever.com/xxx/zzz" > Your link text < /a >

Dear Scott,

I'm not sure of the Catholic Church's view on Campus Crusade. They tried to "save me" when I was in college. I think it would be not a good thing to join if you are Catholic because they seemed to believe in justification by faith. However, they were a really good group of people. I think that the individual members would be good people to have as friends. There is so much sex and drinking going around at college campuses and the individual members of Campus Crusade usually love God and don't indulge in typical college vices. I think if a Catholic was looking for fellowship, check at the local college Cathoic Church. There probably is a Newman Center.

Campus Crusade...not real impressed with them...alot of Biblical knowledge taken out of context...

Probably the Catholic Church would prefer its' memberst to belong to the Newman center.

i am a member in campus crusade and am surpised by some of these answers. i have found a great group of students who truly desire a relationship with Jesus. they have help me grow in my faith leaps and bounds. also i haven't experienced them taking things out of context. i would recommend campus crusade to anyone looking for true fellowship and growing closer to Jesus.
