Prototype F4 Custom Footpegs: First Look

greenspun.com : LUSENET : MV Agusta F4 : One Thread

Have one company working on some rear-sets, but for those that just want to replace our cheesy stock pegs.. I have another company working on some simple bolt-on replacements.. Thought I'd share... Go to http://community.webshots.com/user/pirate0007

Click on the album that says MV Custom Footpeg

This is just a prototype. Actual production pieces will have shorter carriers, etc.. I'm happy with the look..Opinions welcome?

Very nice. Would it be possible to carry the theme onto the heel gaurd or does every one slip on carbon instead?

Would it be possible to make it non-folding?

Your foot pegs look pretty sweet, I Recomend some kind of grooves or something of the sort on the outer edge as that seems to be where they lacking the grip. Especially if your out giving it the what for! or if it gets wet while out its that edge that does most of the work.

These will be simple bolt-on replacements.. will probably offer a choice of pegs including the ones we offer for our K1200RS kits at http://piratesk12site.net/TopGear.htm They do have some with a more serated edge for racing...

They will be fold-up by design, however... I can see advantages of a non folding peg.. especially in a tip over... What do you think? Do you think more people would prefer a non-folding MV version? I can get it done either way.. as I'm new to the MV world.. your opinion(s) would be appreciated...

What is that alloy-thing under the peg/exhaust?

I will buy the very first pair as long as they make a set for racing that have a "GRIP like HELL".
