Warming Up F4

greenspun.com : LUSENET : MV Agusta F4 : One Thread

I've just bought an F4 2002. The guy said that when starting from cold it should be left to warm up until the temp on the dash stops flashing, then ok to ride off. The manual says start the bike and ride off taking it easy until the temp stops flashing. I think the book must be right, any idea's? Also, this bike has only done 1000 miles, am I right in thinking that it should do 1600 miles to be classed as run in ? Cheers

You are correct on both fronts. Break-in till 1600mi and take it easy until the temps reach operating temperature (not just until it stops flashing but I would suggest until it stabilizes or nearly so)
