Roasted green tea - just as healthy?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Tea Forum : One Thread

Well, the subject line says it all, I guess. I love roasted Japanese green tea, but I wonder if it is as healthy as regular green tea? Does anyone know or can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks!

Roasted teas are just as healthy as other green teas. Because of its process differentiation, they are different in its caffeine level (roasted teas are usually much lower in caffeine than normal green tea). For example, Hojicha (Japanese roasted green tea) is considered for safe even for young children or pregnant women. I got this info from the website below. _________________________ http://www.teanobi.com
