Help! For some odd reason, mIRC refuses to connect me to the #mangaproject channel. It always gives a "address is banned" message. Why is this? I've never even been on the channel in the first place...

I checked the banlist, and there's no isp or guest name bans so the case here is most likely someone getting banned who has a similar ip to yours, and since the channel op did a wild card he could've banned other non-offenders as well.

BTW, does #mangaproject block any IP addresses that have "AOL" on them? Yeah, don't laugh, I use AOL...

I took a look at the bans list as well. The banned AOL IPs = *.ipt.aol.com. You might want to try some of the other manga channels like #shoujomagic and #mangareaders.

Hmm...no wonder why. Figures that they'd ban AOL users. *sniff*

ya me too had that problem... It was my first time connecting to their channel and all i got was a ban for about 3 months =/ and no i'm not on AOL...but on an .edu maybe that's y...
